前言
一直以來，嵌入式廠家都希望客戶從開機到進入應用整個的過程都是屬於一種專屬的感覺，以前用傳統的windows 系統的時候雖然也可以對如開發畫面及Logo做些修改，但是都不是很官方的做法；在XPE/WES 7，雖然也有過對開機畫面進行客製化的配置，但是還是不徹底。到了WES 8時代，感覺微軟終於抓住了客戶的需求，把開關機畫面及Logo的修改權限終於開放出來了。接下來我們就此進行些研究，希望能勾起大家使用WES 系統的興趣吧。
1） WES 8裏面的branding module
所有的相關的開關機Logo 及畫面的修改都在此module裏面， 如下所示：其中branded screens 和 windows 8 application launcher 是針對Windows 8 標準啓動界面的module .
2) 製作一個windows 8標準的開關機界面，請選擇如下的兩個module 就好了。
Branded screens : 此模塊可以顯示在 startup screen /shutdown screen/system properties page 中的WES 8的各種標準logo及icon
Windows 8 application launcher : 此模塊是針對以Windows 8 application(以前叫metro)磁貼程序作爲啓動界面的module
3) 如果你不想在開關機的時候，看到任何windows 的logo及畫面/動畫。就需要用到其他的幾個module了。請添加如下的幾個module。 其默認的設定就OK 了。
其custom logon 模塊大概功能如下：其配置項就是對這些功能進行enable/disable.
You can use custom Logon to enable or disable the following:
· Power Button UI on the logon screen (item 1 in figure B, below)
· Input Method Selection UI on the logon screen
· Ease of Access button UI on the logon screen (item 2 in figure B, below)
· Status messages and progress indicators on the logon screen
· Lock screen when no session is active
· Blocked Shutdown Resolver (BSDR) screen
· Logon screen transition animations
其unbranded boot 模塊大概功能如下：
You can use unbranded Boot to do the following:
· Hide the default Windows logo displayed during the loading screen (item 1 in figure A, below)
· Hide the boot status text displayed during the loading screen (item 2 in figure A, below. Note that there is no status text displayed in CTP 2)
· Hide the status indicator during the loading screen (item 3 in figure A, below)
· Display a blank screen when Windows Embedded Standard 8 encounters an unrecoverable error
· Disable the F8 and F10 keys during startup to prevent access to the advanced boot options menu
Unbranded Boot does not provide any functionality to add your own custom logo during startup
（請注意這紅色的字體部分，表示微軟並沒有提供任何添加客戶Logo的功能。根據目前的測試結果，開機過程中也只能隱藏屏幕背景，而無法替換此背景的。）
4)請注意如下的開機界面的定義
