咱們今天就介紹一下這個cyberslacking(網絡摸魚)。

Cyberslacking refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working. That is also known as goldbricking, "Buca-ing" cyberloafing or cyberbludging, and can lead to inefficiency.

Instances(例子) of cyberslacking have increased markedly since broadband Internet connections became commonplace(普通) in workplaces. Many firms employ surveillance(監視) software to track employees' Internet activity in an effort to limit liability and improve productivity. Other methods used to reduce cyberslacking include installation of proxy servers(代理服務器) to prevent programs from accessing resources like Internet Relay Chat, AOL Instant Messenger, or some online gambling services, strict disciplinary(紀律) measures for employees found cyberslacking, and carrot(胡蘿蔔) and stick(棒) measures like providing free Internet access for employees outside of working hours.

網絡出現以後,都市裏開始流行SOHO(Small Office and Home Office小型辦公室或家庭式辦公室),只要有一根網線,很多工作就可以在家裏完成,不用再擠車上班,熬點下班。

Digital nomad refers to a person who uses technology, particularly wireless networking, to work without requiring an office or other fixed address.

Being digital nomads, they work — clad(穿着) in shorts, T-shirts and sandals — wherever they find a wireless Web connection to reach their colleagues via instant messaging, Twitter, Facebook, e-mail and occasionally by voice on their iPhones or Skype.

As digital nomads, experts say, they represent a natural evolution in teleworking. The Internet let millions of wired people work from home; now, with widespread WiFi, many have cut the wires and left home (or the dreary office) to work where they please.
