The opportunities and challenges faced by college students
Good afternoon, teachers and friends:
I take it as a great honor to give a speech here and have you all listen
to me. Hopefully, I won't let you down. OK, today I will talk about
the opportunities and challenges faced by college students.
One of the leaders of our college once told us that: when you are in
Grade One, you are not aware that you don't know; when in Grade
Two, you come to realize that you don't know; when in Grade Three,
you just can't figure that you have known already and in Grade
Four, you finally discover that you know exactly. But up to now
that time is lost and the celebration is just around the corner.
So how shall we make the most our college life? We ought to
deal with every opportunities and challenges we encounter well,
challenges of getting ourselves adapted to the college life,
opportunities of deciding what you want to learn, challenges of
being good at what you learn, opportunities of making a decision
where you want to go, what to do next and what kind of person
you want to be.
However, we are somehow at sea of social life due a lack of
experience. In this case, you can talk with your friends and
your classmates or consult to you teachers. After taking
everything into consideration, you have to choose the one
that suit you best and never regret.
Opportunities and challenges often go hand in hand .They are
everywhere and can happen at any time. To stand here to make
a speech is a challenge as well as an opportunity. To me, life is a
series of opportunities and challenges and that's what makes life
wonderful, so enjoy it.
I believe in my ability to take the challenges and seize the
opportunities.
