Yeah!

Shawshank Redemption
D.A.:Mr. Dufresne, describe the confrontation you had with your wife the night she was murdered.
ANDY:It was very bitter. She said she was glad I knew, that she hated all the sneaking around. She said she wanted a divorce in Reno.
D.A.:What was your response?
ANDY:I told her I would not grant one.
D.A.:"I'll see you in Hell before I see you in Reno." Those were the words you used, Mr. Dufresne, according to the testimony of your neighbors.
ANDY:If they say so. I really don't remember. I was upset.
D.A.:What happened after you and your wife argued?
ANDY:She packed a bag and went to stay with Mr. Quentin.
D.A.:Glenn Quentin. The golf pro at the Falmouth Hills Country Club. The man you had recently discovered was her lover.(Andy nods) Did you follow her?
ANDY:I went to a few bars first. Later,I decided to drive to Mr. Quentin's home and confront them. They weren't there...so I parked my car in the turnout...and waited.
D.A.:With what intention?
ANDY:I'm not sure. I was confused. Drunk.I think mostly I wanted to scare them.
D.A.:You had a gun with you?
ANDY:Yes. I did.
D.A.:When they arrived, you went up to the house and murdered them?
ANDY:No. I was sobering up. I realized she wasn't worth it. I decided to,let her have her quickie divorce.
D.A.:Quickie divorce indeed. A .38 caliber divorce, wrapped in a handtowel to muffle the shots, isn't that what you mean? And then you shot her lover!
ANDY:I did not. I got back in the car and drove home to sleep it off. Along the way, I stopped and threw my gun into the Royal River. I feel I've been very clear on this point.
D.A.:Yes, you have. Where I get hazy, though, is the part where the cleaning woman shows up the next morning and finds your wife and her lover in bed, riddled with .38 caliber bullets. Does that strike you as a fantastic coincidence, Mr.Dufresne, or is it just me?
ANDY:(softly)Yes. It does.
D.A.:I'm sorry, Mr. Dufresne, I don't think the jury heard that.
ANDY:Yes. It does.
D.A.:Does what?
ANDY:Strike me as a fantastic coincidence.
D.A.:On that, sir, we are in accord...
D.A.:You claim you threw your gun into the Royal River before the murders took place. That's rather convenient.
ANDY:It's the truth.
D.A.:You recall Lt. Mincher's testimony? He and his men dragged that river for three days and nary a gun was found. So no comparison can be made between your gun and the bullets taken from the bloodstained corpses of the victims. That's also rather convenient, isn't it, Mr. Dufresne?
ANDY:(faint, bitter smile)Since I am innocent of this crime, sir, I find it decidedly inconvenient the gun was never found.
D.A.:Ladies and gentlemen, you've heard all the evidence, you know all the facts. We have the accused at the scene of the crime. We have foot prints. Tire tracks. Bullets scattered on the ground which bear his fingerprints. A broken bourbon bottle, like wise with fingerprints. Most of all, we have a beautiful young woman and her lover lying dead in each other's arms. They had sinned. But was their crime so great as to merit a death sentence?
D.A.:I suspect Mr. Dufresne's answer to that would be yes. I further suspect he carried out that sentence on the night of September 21st, this year of our Lord, 1946, by pumping four bullets into his wife and another four into Glenn Quentin. And while you think about that, think about this...A revolver holds six bullets, not eight. I submit to you this was not a hot-blooded crime of passion! That could at least be understood, if not condoned. No, this was revenge of a much more brutal and cold-blooded nature. Consider! Four bullets per victim! Not six shots fired, but eight! That means he fired the gun empty...and then stopped to reload so he could shoot each of them again! An extra bullet per lover...right in the head.I'm done talking. You people are all decent, God-fearing Christian folk. You know what to do.
JUDGE: You strike me as a particularly icy and remorseless man, Mr. Dufresne. It chills my blood just to look at you. By the power vested in me by the State of Maine, I hereby order you to serve two life sentences, back to back, one for each of your victims. So be it.

Forrest: Hello! My name's Forrest. Forrest Gump. You wanna Chocolate? I could eat about a million and a half o'these. My momma always said life was like a box o'chocolates. You never know what you gonna get. Now, when I was a baby momma named me after the great civil war hero, General Nathan Bedford Forrest. She said we was related to him in some way. What he did was: he started up this club called the Ku Klux Clan. They'd all dress up in their robes and their bed sheets and act like a bunch of ghosts or spooks or something. They 'd even put bed sheets on their horses and ride around. And anyway, that's how I got my name: Forrest Gump.

Gump: What's the matter, Mama?
<--advertisement code begin--><--advertisement code end-->
Mum: I'm dying, Forrest. Come on in, sit down over here.
Gump: Why are you dying, Mama?
Mum: It's my time. It's just my time. Oh, now...don't you be afraid, sweet heart. Death is just a part of life. Something we're all destined to do. I didn't know it, but I was destined to be your mama. I did the best I could.
Gump: You did good.
Mum: Well...I happen to believe you make your own destiny. You have to do the best with what God gave you.
Gump: What's my destiny, Mama?
Mum: You're going to have to figure that out for yourself. Life is a box of chocolates, Forrest. You never know what you're going to get.
be dying,垂死的、就要死去的,和下面那句“It's my time.”

The Lion King
(Mufasa, the lion king is telling Simba, his son, an importamt rule of life.)
Mufasa: Look, Simba, everything the light touches is our kingdom.
Simba:Wow!
Mufasa:A king's time is ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, Simba, the sun will set on my time here and and rise with you as the new king.
Simba:And this will all of mine?
Mufasa:Everything!
Simba:Everything the light touches! What about that shadowy place?
Mufasa:That's beyond our borders, you must never go there, Simba.
Simba:But I thought a king can do whatever he want.
Mufasa:Oh, there's more to being a king than getting your way all the time.
Simba:There's more?
Mufasa:Simba, everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.
Simba:But dad, don't we eat the antelope?
Mufasa:Yes, Simba. But let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass and the antelopes eat the grass, and so we are all connected in a great circle of life. Simba, let me tell you something that my father told me. Look at the stars the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars.
Simba:Really?
Mufasa:Yes, so whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you , and so will I.

Gone With The Wind--
Ashely: Scarlett, who are you hiding from here? What are you up to? Why aren’t you upstairs resting with the other girls? What is it, Scarlett, secret?
Scarlett: Ashley, Ashley, I love you.
Ashely: Scarlett.
Scarlett: I love you, I do.
Ashely: Well, isn’t it enough that you’ve gathered every other man’s heart today? You’ve always had mine, you cut your teeth one it.
Scarlett: Don’t tease me now. Have I your heart, my darling? I love you. I love you.
Ashely: You mustn’t say such things. You’ll hate me for hearing.
Scarlett: I never hate you. I know you must care about me. Oh, you do care, don’t you?
Ashely: Yes, I care. Oh, can’t we go away and forget that we’ve ever said these things?
Scarlett: How can we do that? Don’t you, don’t you want to marry me?
Ashely: I’m going to marry Melanie.
Scarlett: But you care not her as you care for me.
Ashely: Oh, my dear. Why must you make me say things that will hurt you? How can I make you understand? You are so young and unthinking. You don’t know what marriage means.
Scarlett: I know I love you. I want to be your wife. You don’t love Melanie.
Ashely: She’s like me, Scarlett. She’s part of my blood. We understand each other.
Scarlett: But you love me.
Ashely: How could I help you loving you? You are all the passion for life that I lack. But that kind of love is not enough to make a successful marriage for two people who as different as we are.
Scarlett: Why don’t you say you are a coward? You are afraid of marrying me. You’d rather live with that little fool who can’t open her mouth except to say “yes” or “no” and raise a pastel of mealy - mouthed brats just like her.
Ashely: You mustn’t say things like that about Melanie.
Scarlett: Who are you to tell me I mustn’t? You led me on. You make me believe you wanted to marry me.
Ashely: Scarlett, be fair. I never ask any time...
Scarlett: You did. It’s true, you did. I’ll hate you till I die. I can’t think of any exact name to call you.

(Ashely leaves. Scarlett throws a vase to the wall in anger. The crashing of the vase startles Rhett. He rises up from the couch in a dark corner of the room.)
Rhett: Has the war started?
Scarlett: Sir, you should make your presence known.
Rhett: In the middle of that beautiful love scene? That wouldn’t be very tactful, would it? But don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.
Scarlett: Sir, you are no gentle-man.
Rhett: And you Miss are no lady. Don’t think I’ll hold that against you. Ladies have never held any charms for me.
Scarlett: But you take a low advantage over me, nearly insult me.
Rhett: I meant it as a compliment and I hope to see more of you when you are free of the spell of this elegant Mr. Wilkes. He doesn’t strike me as half good enough for a girl of your... what was it? “Your passion for living”?
Scarlett: How dare you? You aren’t fit to wipe his boots.
Rhett: Ha... You are going to hate him for the rest of your life. Ha...

The Wizard of Oz--
(Dorothy kills the bad witch by accident.)
Glinda: Are you a good witch or a bad witch?
Dorothy: Who, me? I’m not a witch at all. I’m Dorothy Gale from Kansas.
Glinda: Oh. Well, is that the witch?
Dorothy: Who, Toto? Toto is my dog.
Glinda: I’m a little muddled. The Munchkins called me, because a new witch has just dropped a house on the Wicked Witch of the East. And there’s the house, and here you are, and that’s all that’s left of the Wicked Witch of the East. And so, what the Munchkins want to know is - are you a good witch or a bad witch?
Dorothy: Oh, but I’ve already told you, I’m not a witch at all. Witches are old and ugly. What was that?
Glinda: The Munchkins. They’re laughing because I am a witch. I’m Glinda, the Witch of the North.
Dorothy: You are? I beg your pardon, but I’ve never heard of a beautiful witch before.
Glinda: Only bad witches are ugly. The Munchkins are happy because you have freed them from the Wicked Witch of the East.
Dorothy: Oh, but if you please, what are Munchkins?
Glinda: The little people who live in this land. It’s Muchkinland, and you are their national heroine, my dear. (To the Munchkins) It’s all right. You may all come out and thank her.
Munchkins: We thank you very sweetly for doing it so neatly.
Munchkins: You’ve killed her so completely. That we thank you very sweetly.
Glinda: Let the joyous news be spread! The Wicked Old Witch at last is dead.

Waterloo Bridge--

Roy: Are you glad to see me again?
Myra: Yes.
Roy: I sense a reservation.
Myra: Well, I suppose there is one.
Roy: What? Why?
Myra: What’s the good of it?
Roy: You’re a strange girl, aren’t you? What’s the good of anything? What’s the good of living?
Myra: That’s a question too.
Roy: Oh, now wait a minute. I’m not going to let you get away with that. The wonderful things about living is that, this sort of thing can happen. In the shadow of a death raid, I can meet you and feel more intensely alive than walking around in peacetime and taking my life for granted. I still don’t get it, not quite.
Myra: What?
Roy: Your face. It’s all youth, all beauty.
Myra: What is it you still don’t get?
Roy: You know, when I left you this afternoon, I couldn’t remember what you looked like, not for the life for me. I thought, was she pretty? Was she ugly? What was she like? I couldn’t remember. I simply had to get to that theater tonight to see what she looked like.
Myra: Do you think you will remember me now?
Roy: I think so, I think so, for the rest of my life.
Myra: But what is it about me you still don’t get?
Man: Ladies and gentlemen, we now come to the last dance of the evening. I hope you enjoy the farewell waltz.
Roy: I’ll tell you later. Let’s dance now.
Myra: What does it mean, these candles?
Roy: You’ll find out.

The Pursuit of Happyness

Chris: Man, I got two questions for you: What do you do? And how do you do it?
Man: I'm a stockbroker(證券經紀人).
Chris: Stockbroker. Oh. Had to go to college to be a stockbroker, huh?
Man: You don't have to.That's it.Have to be good with numbers and good with people.
Chris: Chris Gardner.
Twistle: Yeah, hi. What can I do for you?
Chris: I submitted an application for the intern program about a month ago…and I would just love the opportunity to sit with you briefly-
Twistle: Listen, I'm going to Noe Valley, Chris. Take care of yourself.
Chris: Mr. Twistle. Actually, I'm on my way to Noe valley also. How about we share a ride?
Twistle: All right. Get in.
Chris: So when I was in the Navy, I worked for a doctor who loved to play golf, hours and hours every day…and I would actually perform medical procedures when he'd leave me in the office. So I'm used to being in a position where I have to make decisions and…
Twistle: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. This thing's impossible.
Chris: I can do it.
Twistle: No, you can't. No one can. It's bullshit.
Chris: No, I'm pretty sure I can do it.
Twistle: No, you can't
Chris: Let me see it. Give it here
Chris: Oh, yeah. Oh, wow, you really sed it up.
Twistle: Sorry.
Chris: It looks like it works around a swivel (轉體),so the center pieces never move.So if it's yellow in the center, that's the yellow side. If it's red in the center, that'sthe red side.
Chris: You can slow down.
Twistle: Oh! Listen, we can drive around all day. I don't believe you can do this.

Chris: Yeah, I can.
Twistle: No, you can't.
Chris: Yes, I can.
Twistle: No, you can't. I'm telling you, no one can…See, that's all I ever did…You almost have this side ... Holy cow! [Chris轉出了一面]Oh, You almost had that one.
Chris: I'm gonna get it.
Twistle: Look at that. You're almost there.
Taxi driver: Seventeen ten.
Chris: This is me. [Chris
Twistle: Good job. Goodbye!
Chris: Ok. I'll see you…see you soon.
