前幾天在機器上安裝vmware workstation 5.5 安裝到快結束時彈出一個錯誤無法安裝，確定後機器藍屏，關機重啓 發現vmware已經安裝但不能使用，於是想卸載了重新裝新版本的，但是通過控制面板裏添加刪除程序功能卸載時，卸載界面啓動後，進度快到一半時機器藍屏無法卸載，網上找了個強力卸載工具，把vmware 卸載了，然後安裝vmware workstation 7 但是安裝時一直提示“setup has detected that vmware workstation is already installed on this machine please uninstall this product through add/remove programs and try again”，無法繼續安裝，檢查發現原來的vmware安裝的服務仍然存在，於是停止服務，用sc delete servicename 刪除服務，並把機器上所有的和vmware相關的文件夾刪除，重啓機器 重新安裝，情況依舊，估計是註冊表裏有鍵值未刪除，搜索了一下發現註冊表裏和vmware相關的鍵值很多，手動刪除太麻煩，而且影響安裝的可能只有一兩個鍵，網上GOOGLE了一下發現如下方法，經測試有效。
在安裝VMware不成功的情況下，再次安裝VMware會彈出: setup has detected that vmware workstation is already installed on this machine . please uninstall this product through add/remove prongrams and try again !! 但是在控制面板“添加和刪除程序”中無法找到VMware程序，用優化大師掃描,還是沒用.
針對以上問題，解決方案如下：
1)用註冊表編輯命令regedit打開註冊表(開始->運行->輸入 regedit)
2）找到目錄HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware .Inc
3）刪除其文件內容和vMware.Inc目錄，便可重新安裝VMware
